In 1990, we derived 91% of our primary energy from fossil fuels. In 2018, we derived 89% of our primary energy from fossil fuels. I’m a strong proponent of transitioning to renewables, and appreciate the examples of solar penetration given in this article, but also think a little perspective can be useful.
